I had this thought a couple of days ago when I was listening to the radio…who really wants to feel like a G6? A G6 looks cool and it flies, but it’s an airplane! I’d rather feel like a human being personally. That got me thinking more. Maybe I just don’t understand the songs about clubbing because I’m just not into the clubbing culture. I like listening to all of these songs; they’ve climbed the charts for a reason. I just decided that I would adapt the lyrics to make them more applicable for lesser cool people like me.

Ben Folds = Genius.
I have always aspired to be like this man. Ben Folds inspires me on so many different levels. His songwriting is poignant, simple and raw. His piano skills are incredible and rhythmic (due to his drumming abilities), and his work ethic is unparalleled. I remember falling in love with Ben’s music when I was in middle school, and my appreciation for it has only grown with time.
The greatest compliment in the world is when somebody compares my style to Ben’s. He is, in my opinion, one of the greatest songwriters of all time. His music is timeless. This track is one of his lesser-known, but shows off his ability to capture a feeling with the piano and lyrics. He isn’t the best singer in the world, but his voice just fits his music and piano sound. Hope there are some fellow Folds fans out there.
